| LVCPAAA has received a big Thank You certificate from three square, for the generous food donation they collected from all the members. |

| Ed Bolin, a Metro Volunteer since December 2005, passed away on Thursday, May 26th 2011. Ed worked full time as a TSA agent at McCarran |
| International Airport. He also volunteered at the airport for the VIVA Patrol, wrote handicap citations at Enterprise and NWAC, worked special |
| events and was an active member in the Citizens Police Academy Alumni. |

| Ed's funeral will be held this Friday, June 10, at 12:40 pm at Veterans Cemetery at 1900 Buchanan Blvd. in Boulder City |

| We have received $350 from MVP's Sharon Harding as proceeds from our Nascar race participation. |

| We have a clothes donation for Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy coming up. The clothes will be collected |

at the July 21st meeting. Clothing must be cleaned/laundered, folded or on hangers. Need men’s and women’s suits, dress |
| pants, women’s skirts, dress shirts/blouses, dresses, ties, sport coats/jackets and men’s and women’s dress shoes |

| The 3 Square food donation program is back. It will be held during the November meeting. |

| The trip to Indian Springs prison in on. It has been scheduled for June 8th. The first 25 people to sign up will |
| get to go. All will meet at the top floor of the north self parking garage of the Santa Fe hotel, at 8am for car |
| pooling. The guided tour will start at 9 am. No blue shirts or jeans allowed. |

| On May 2nd from 4 PM to 8 PM we will be having a fund raising event at 2 Friday's locations in Las Vegas. One is located at Sam's Town |
| on Boulder Hwy, the other one is at the Suncoast hotel and casino on Alta in Summerlin. McGruff mascot will be present at both locations |
| from 4 PM to 6 PM. We hope to make this event very successful as always thanks to all the members' help. We hope to see you all there. |

| On Thursday March 24th, the LVMPD graduation will be hold at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in the Showroom at 1 PM. |
| Thirty one cadets will graduate and we are all invited to attend. LVCPAAA members can wear their green polo shirt. |

| To all Board members surprise, a little appreciation award was given by Sheriff Gillespie to all board members on behalf of the LVCPAAA. |

| Our February 10th meeting was in part dedicated to Sgt. Mike's Giddinge's retirement. LVCPAAA's president congratulated him on his |
| two retirements, one being from 22 years of service in the USAF and the other from his 20 years as a member of the finest police department |
| in the country, the LVMPD. Over 1600 candidates in the Las Vegas valley, graduated from his 41 classes of the Citizen Police Academy. |
| Mike Giddinge has given his time, energy to this program in many instances without remuneration of any kind. |
| There is no doubt that he has been an important part of the heart and soul of both the CPA and the LVCPAAA. |

| In our February meeting, we will welcome Sheriff Gillespie as our speaker, but it will also be Sgt.Mike Giddinge farewell party. |
| Sgt. Bradshaw will officially start fulfilling all the tasks of the position. After 41 CPA classes, Sgt Giddinge is retiring. |
| We hope to see you all at 7 PM on that day to wish him well in his new lifestyle. |
